You NEED to watch this

I’d like to preface this post, by saying I am not an advocate of drugs. I also feel it is not my business to police other people’s use of alcohol or drugs. It’s not yours either, unless it directly affects you in a negative way. No doubt, the world, especially the U.S. seems to have a drug problem. What to do about it is another matter.

The so called war on drugs, has failed miserably. There is more drug use now, than ever. Think-prohibition. That spawned big crime, speak easy’s and illegal use. To say we’re successful, because our prison population has exploded and there have been more arrests, is ludicrous.

We have more people in U.S. prisons than anywhere else in the world. More than our entire military. We always want to be number one, but for this ? Much of our prison population is there due to drugs and many are for non-violent, petty drug use. What’s wrong with this picture ? What needs to change ? Obviously something.

Politicians are afraid to touch this subject, for fear of not being re-elected. How popular do you think they would be if they became part of the solution ? Think of all the money the U.S. would save on incarceration costs, guards, police, etc. Think of all the billions of profits the U.S. could make on tax revenue, much like we do on cigarettes and alcohol. Think of the huge monetary loss to drug cartels, resulting in far less crime.
