For today, this is important. This is a crucial election for the U.S. as I’m sure many of my friend/followers out of the country have probably heard. I wonder what you’re thinking. Please write any comments and reply to this post, if possible. It’s so interesting to hear an outsiders perspective, especially someone not directly affected. I hope the link comes through below. The reply button is at the bottom of the page, after the post and the “About Me.” Thanks
Dear Friend,
Since last year, we’ve been building a volunteer-powered grassroots campaign to hold Tea Party Republicans accountable, because we could not be silent in the face of their actions over the last two years.
The big payoff is now just 3 days away. The campaign is firing on all cylinders, and we’re confident we’re going to get some big victories.
Whatever happens, we’ve already succeeded in many ways, and we’re proud of this amazing campaign, built by the contributions of 69,762 CREDO activists and customers.
Instead of telling you what this campaign looks like, we wanted to show you:
Take a look at the graphic below, and share it on Facebook to show what activist-powered grassroots campaigns can do. For some reason, the map doesn’t show up, which is too bad, because it’s very impressive.
We built this SuperPAC based on the strong belief that we couldn’t let the last two years of unprecedented extremism go unanswered. And that local, grassroots, volunteer activism could make the difference in close elections against Tea Party extremists that were otherwise dominated by jaw-dropping secret spending by billionaires and corporations.
As everyone from Karl Rove and the Kochs to some of the biggest liberal groups in the country made huge TV ad buys in the last couple months, our volunteers have been making a huge impact on every one of our Tea Party Ten races through their activism — from dogging Tea Partiers with the truth about their extreme records, to making sure their crazy statements made national headlines, to local voter contact efforts that put progressive messages first.
And these local campaigns to Take Down the Tea Party Ten and Michele Bachmann elevated our core progressive issues — stopping the extreme attacks on women, seniors and Medicare — to major parts of the national conversation about the issues that mattered in this election.
Our huge thanks go out to all the donors who helped build this campaign, all the local volunteers and organizers who powered it, and everyone else who has helped in any way.
Thanks for being part of it. Let’s Take Down some Tea Party Republicans on Tuesday.
