A Note of gratitude

Many things are great about blogging, but I have found that one of the greatest aspects of this ritual, is meeting and communicating with people from all around the globe. How much we all have in common when you think of it. Really.

Perhaps language or a few cultural differences might pose a slight barrier at first, but emotionally, creatively, instinctively, we all think in similar fashion, at least the bloggers I’ve had the fortunate experience to communicate with.  I love learning about our differences and belief systems.  In the end though,  I believe we all want the same basic things in life.

Some of your  posts have encouraged me to think about things I had never really considered. Some of the writings have made re-think my objectives, priorities and purpose. Many helped me push the envelope, when I was on the fence in writing about certain topics and my opinions towards them. Some of your words forced me to re-evaluate where I am right now, here, in my life.

What brings me Joy ? What brings me confusion and angst ? What gives me hope ? So thank you my women and men bloggers, for sharing yourselves with me. I feel gratitude today, an important, but simple element so easy to ignore on the day-to-day.

Regardless of our circumstances, we can all find something, no matter how large or small, to be grateful for. It’s been a sweet ride and a wonderful experience thus far.  I look forward to a long, creative and continuous journey with all of you. Have a great day and God Bless

About aboomersvoice

First and foremost, I'm a baby boomer and damn proud of it. The ones reading this post survived. Some didn't..We are the generation that crashed through barriers, broke through the norm and made our own rules. We paved the way for others to follow their bliss. One of the largest breakthroughs was probably equal rights and opportunities for women. Thank you Gloria Steinem and Betty Friedan. We burned our bras, well, most of us did. We marched against politics we didn't believe in, staged protests not knowing we could easily be silenced by a bullet, experimented with drugs, meditation and guru's. We traveled with backpacks across the country and throughout the world..We had a voice. We had a choice. We had a mission. We had freedom and we were united. I am a writer, traveler, explorer, observer and participant in life. I am part of the expansion of baby boomers who still believe in the original message of peace and love. Take this journey.with me. Who knows where it will take us next ?
